I am proud and feel privileged to be associated with our Gnyati since last 40 years and rendered my duties as Mantri, Up-Pramukh, Pramukh and Trustee.

Dedication to our BELOVED Gnyati, Development of Gnyati and Gnyati oriented activities are the top most priority of my life.

I got actively connected with our Gnyati Mandal on the Auspicious Day of Bhaibij of 1980. Shri Ravindrabhai Shantilal Dave, Shri Bhaskarbhai N. Bhatt, Shri Jayprakash J. Pandya & Shri Ratilal Mehta were main team members from the young generation.

I feel lucky to witness ALL functions, ALL Annual General Meetings, ALL Karobari Meetings, ALL events including Mahamandal Meetings, held at Amreli, Sihor, Bhavnagar, Vadodara, Surat and Mumbai.

A pure and transparent Financial Segment is a Crown of our Sanstha. We are very particular in Accounting matters. Even after an average expenditure of Rs. 5 Lakhs every year, Amdavad Mandal is financially the Best and a total of more than Rs. 90 Lakhs of Various Earmarked Funds are kept as Fixed Deposits with the nationalized Banks.

I express my sincere thanks to all of the Karobari members, Trustees, and gnyati families without whose untiring support & co-operation I would not have succeeded in discharging my duties during last 40 years.

Glorious History of ASZS Brahma Samaj, Amdavad :
We are Audichya Sahastra Zalawadi Brahmins mainly from Amreli & Bhavnagar area who have settled in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and other parts of Gujarat and various cities in the world for livelihood and personal growth.

This Sanstha was established on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti 14-01-1944. The first Pramukh was Shri Valjibhai Vyas & thereafter Kalaguru Late Shri Ravishankar Raval. Late Shri Labhshanker Trivedi & Babulal Upadhyay were appointed as Mantris.

Thereafter Sanstha continued to work for several years under Late Shri Popatlal Ambashankar Vyas & Labhshanker Trivedi, Shri Bhanubhai Raval wih Late Shri Kantilal Trivedi as the Mantri.During 1980 a team of youngsters entered and they created a well researched “Bandharan” and got our Sanstha registered with the Charity Commissioner of Ahmedabad on 13-10-1982 with the Registration No. A/2745/Amdavad.

   including honouring the bright students with prizes and medals/ certificates.
2. Promotion and Strengthening of relations among families of the Sanstha.
3. Any other activities for the betterment & development of Gnyati Samaj.
4. Organising cultural activity and functions to create Earmarked funds.

Gnyati Mukhpatra “SADBHAV” – A Bridge of our Gnyati
It was a historic decision to start the Bimonthly Gnyati Mukhpatra “SADBHAV” in the year 1984 under the first honorary Tantriship of Late Shri Hariprasad K. Acharya.Sadbhav has recently published 192nd issue in January’21. The regular publication of Sadbav with all the information of our Gnyati Samaj in India & abroad. It includes Yagnopavit, engagement, marriage, special religious functions, Mrutyu, Besna & Sarvani apart from some good articles and poems.

There were special editions of Sadbhav on various occasions. A very nice Report of Sadbhav’s 25 years journey with 135 Anks was prepared by Shri Jugalkishor J. Vyas.

I would like to introduce some Glittering stars of the “SADBHAV” Galaxy.

Shri Upenbhai Anantrai Vyas and Smt. Shital Upenbhai Vyas have done marvellous job of Digitalisation of Sadbhav Anks. Delivery / Distributions Section is backbone of any magazine, and that Delivery / Distributions Section of Sadbhav is efficiently handled by Shri Hareshbhai Ravishankar Joshi. Shri Manishbhai Prataprai Vyas has converted edition of black and white Sadbhav into colourful Sadbhav. Not only this, he has managed successfully the sponsorship and advertisement for almost Anks of Sadbhav.

Chronicle Development & Growth of ASZS Brahm Samaj, Ahmedabad
1. First donation of Rs. 1,001/- for Gnyati Wadi was received from Late Shri Karunashankar Trivedi in April’84.
2. Total expenses of the First year’s Sadbhav were borne by Shri Kakubhai J. Upadhyay.
3. Shri Bhaskar Bhatt, Shri Kishor Pandit, Shri Jayprakash Pandya, Shri Ratilal Mehta, Shri Amritlal C. Trivedi, Shri Navinbhai Raval & Dr. Bharatbhai Pandya gave 1% of their monthly income to Gnyai for 3 years.
4. Prize distribution & Cultural Program was organized at the Gita Hall, Bhavans College in 1982.
5. First Samuh Yagnopavit was organized at Kankaria on 18-05-84.
6. A lucky draw and cultural Program was held on 26-01-1983 at Indulal Yagnik Hall, Bapunagar.
7. First Fund raising program of famous Bhajan-Gazal singer Anup Jalota was organized at the Premabhai Hall on 30-08-1984.
8. Bhagirathi (Vidhva Sahay) Fund was started in 1985 by very sincere efforts of Late Shri Pranshankar j. Trivedi by accepting Rs. 500/- from GSW Bhagirathiben. Today this Fund is of more than Rs. 25 Lakhs.
9. Late Shri Mugatbhai Kanjibhai Trivedi donated his lifelong saving of Rs. 1 Lakh for Education & Medical Relief Funds.
10. Amdavad Gnyati Mandal organized the first meeting of 30 representatives of our Gnyati mandals from Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, Shihor, Bhavnagar, Amreli & Amdavad. This activity was continued for many years in the name of Gnyati Mahamndal.
11. Annual Prize Distribution for bright students is organized every year at Tagore hall, Dinesh Hall, H.K.College hall, Town Hall, Ambedkar Hall and now at Somnath Mandir followed by Samuh Brahm Bhojan. With the efforts of Shri Jayprakash Pandya, sponsorship for 5 years
were pre-booked for samuh Brahm bhojan.
12. Sharad Poonam Garba program was organized for many years.
13. Shri Upendrabhai Someshwarbhai Tripathi (London) donated Rs. 1,31,151/- for purchasing office in the year 1998, for our gnyati of 400 Sq. Ft. at Shayona Arcade, India Colony Road, Bapunagar. As a main donor we offered to name office in whatever name he
might like but he very gracefully unaccepted our offer with a suggestion that Gnyati Office be named as Gnyati Office only. His brother Late Shri Narendrabhai Someshwar Tripathi inaugurated fully furnished office.
14. Late Shri Sukhdevbhai Vyas & Vasuben S. Vyas donated a sum of Rs. 1,29,000/- in the memory of their mother Ramkunvarben Vyas for Education Fund. We are giving Cash Prizes to bright students from the interest of this amount.
15. For Vidhyotejak Fund & for Wadi Fund, 2 Bhagvat Saptah of Shri Maheshbhai Joshi (Bhingrad) were organized in the year 2000. Fund of Lakhs of Rupees are created from donations from Pothi Yajmans. The Mukhya Yajman for the first 108 Pothi Bhagvat Saptah were Late Shri J. L. Pandya family. Smt. Maltiben Pandya was instrumental in getting a donation of Rs. 2.50 Lakhs. Late Shri Balwanbhai & Neelamben Vyas represnted Pandya family.

Efforts to get Pothi Yajmans by Shri Prafulbhai Dave,Shri Vinubhai Bhatt, Kum. Daxaben Trivedi, Shri Gunvantrai Acharya , Shri Pranshanker J. Trivedi. Shri Kishor Pandit and other gnyati members are worth praising. Shri Jayprakash Pandya handled both programs very nicely. Shri Jayvadan Trivedi as Shastriji was instrumental for morning Tarpan pooja and handled Bhudevs of Pothis properly.
16. A 108 Kundi Samuh Gayatri Yagna was organized on 12-10-2003 with 108 couples as yajmans. Aahutis of 5 lakh Gayatri Mantra were offered. Family of Daxaben Maganlal Trivedi were Mukhya Yajmans. A fund of more than Rs. 4 lakhs were collected from this religious program.
17. In the year 2007, a marathon Programme of 7 hours was organised in Tagore Hall as a celebration of Silver Jubilee of Registration of our Gnyati. Gnyatijan of 75 age were honoured, magnificently. Moreover, as a part of this celebration, a bag was gifted to each and every
family, in this programme.
18. A Silver Jubilee of Sadbhav magazine was celebrated in 2009 in Chandra Prakash Hall. A rhythmic chant of Sunder Kand was performed by Shri Pankajbhai Trivedi
19. A program of “Maa-Baapne Bhulso Nahi” by Ashwin Joshi was organized by Yuvak Mandal in Town Hall on 30-09-2010 to increase Vidhyotejak Fund.
20 . For last several years we honour Leading Personalities of our gnyati like Advocates, Teachers, Industrialists & Doctors during annual Prize distribution functions. During one such function we honoured Padmashree Award winner Skin Specialist Dr. Kiritbhai M. Acharya of Jamnagar who has been credited to eradicate leprosy from Saurashtra. Sir, we are proud of your work for leprosy patients and your very generous donations to make them self- dependants after satisfactory completion of their treatment. We also honoured daughter of Shri S.D.Raval (Bhavnagar) Captain Swati Raval who operated one of the longest Air India Flight from New Delhi to San Francisco as the Captain of the
flight.
21. We have been organizing Samuh Rakshabandhan, Gnyati Bhojan & Annual General Meetings regularly every year on Shravani (Rakshabandhan) as per Bandharan of our Sanstha. Accounts audited by C.A. are published in the July Ank of Sadbhav and then approved in the Annual General meeting along with other business as per agenda. We are happy to note that Kum. Daxaben Maganlal Trivedi arranged a donation of Rs. 2.50 Lakhs for Shravani Fund which is now named as “Dev-Magan Shravani Fund”.
22. Our Gnyati Students needed loan for higher education. A program of “Mukhtar Shah Night” was organized by Mahila Mandal on 23-12-2012 at Town Hall. many Gnyati families generously donated to raise the Loan Scholarship Fund. Shraddha associates donated more than Rs. 3 Lakhs and this Fund is now named as “Late Shri Harshadbhai Vyas Higher Education Fund” which is more than Rs. 17 lakhs now.
23. Our Gnyati Office which was purchased in 1998 needed renovation. Shri Vinubhai Bhatt and his team carried out this work and now we have a well furnished air conditioned office. Almost entire expenditure of more than Rs. 1.50 Lakhs was collected as donation of Rs. 1,000/-
by gnyati families as Shri Vinubhai Bhatt, Shri Haresh Joshi, Shri Manish Vyas, Shri Upen Vyas, & Shri Uday Vyas personally contacted them.
24. In December 2018, a drama program was organized at the Thakorbhai Desai Hall for increasing Vidhva Sahay Fund. many Gnyati families generously contributed, mainly Rs. 1 Lakh from Shradha Associates (Nirmalaben N. Vyas) and Rs. 25,000 from 19 persons, Rs.
11,000 from 11 persons. A total of almost Rs. 11,11,000/- were raised. Shri Kishorbhai Pandit & Kum. Daxaben Trivedi (Kum. Daxaben Trivedi is a leading name in the list of Lady Donor in our Gnyati ) jointly donated Rs. 3 Lakhs and the Vidhva Shay Fund is now renamed as “Shantaba – Rukshmaniba Bhagirathi Fund”. We have started giving yearly financial support of Rs. 3,500 to 40 Vidhva Bahens for last 2 years.
25. For last 3 years Dr. Prashant G. Acharya & Dr. Deep S. Joshi are organizing program to assist students going for higher education. A well attended program for “Yuvak/Student Sashaktikaran” was held on 05-01-2020 at Patel wadi, Bapunagar wherein eminent speakers guided the students & their parents. Shri Upendrabahi S. Tripathi was the Chief Guest and Shri Bharatbahi J. Pandya (Technichem Organics Pvt. Ltd.), Shri Kishorbhai F. Pandit and Shri Upendrabahi Tripathi provided finacial support.
26. A very big and most eventful Samuh Yagnopavit Program was organized on 01-09-2019 at the Somnath Mandir, Bapunagar sponsored by Shri Jayvadan Trivedi wherein 8 Batuks were given Yagnopavit with full religious and social rituals. More than 1500 gnyati members attended this 2 days function. Shri Vinubhai Pritamlal Bhatt and his team did everything to make this program a grand success. Yuvak Mandal helped a lot in this 2 day Samuh Yagnopavit function.
27. During Corona Epidemic our Gnyati Samaj gave financial support of some 3 Lakhs to needy families in Ahmedabad in April to May’20.
A team of Shri Vinu Bhatt, Shri Haresh Joshi,Shri Jayvadan Trivedi, Shri Upen Vyas, Shri Uday Vyas & Shri Manish Vyas contacted needy families and particularly Shri Haresh Joshi went house to house to distribute sahay.
28. Recently Shri Shashankbhai N, Tripathi took initiative to create a Group of Blood Donors. With his personal efforts more than 60 gnyati members have joined the group with their Blood Group details. This will certainly help gnyati families in the times of medical emergency.
29. We are into the modern era with the creation of Website of our Gnyati Mandal in the name & style of “ASZ450BSABD.IN”. Shri Kishorbhai F. Pandit, Dr. Prashant Acharya, Shri Shashank Tripathi & Shri Manish Vyas worked as a team with the website Developer Shri Niket Dave.

The Karobari, Trustrees, Mahila Mandal & Yuvak Mandal members meet on the last Sunday of every month to attend to routine matters.
